Founded in 2005, Syquant Capital is an independant asset manager accredited by the French regulator AMF . The company is a signatory to the UN PRI and supports the TCFD.

The founders wished to combine their skills acquired during their 30 years experience in capital markets with both institutional and private investors, and instil within Syquant Capital the aim to create value for its investors on a long term basis.

The founders have build around these shared values an experienced and internationally recognized team to develop a range of funds with differentiated risk profiles.

With its experience, discipline and expertise, Syquant Capital is able to generate through its investment strategies an absolute performance under variable market conditions within a controlled risk framework.

The management team, made up of absolute return investment specialists with over 30 years' shared experience of the capital markets, has developed strong expertise in dynamic asset allocation techniques and in-depth knowledge of risk management methods. All employees are personally invested in the funds.

Founders

Henri Jeantet
President and Chief Investment Officer - Portfolio Manager

Henri has 36 years experience in trading and risk management. He is a founder, along with Olivier Leymarie of the Equity Derivatives business line at Credit Agricole/Indosuez Group.

In 1987, Henri Jeantet joined Cheuvreux, De Virieu SA as the manager of French equity derivatives market activities (acquired by Indosuez in 1992 and merged into the C.A. group in 1997). Between 1992 and 2000 Henri Jeantet was head of the European Equity Derivatives Arbitrage group and in 2000 became Global Head of Equity Derivatives Trading for the Credit Agricole group. In 2004, Henri Jeantet was appointed Global Head of Equity Derivatives Trading of CALYON. In his last role in CALYON he was in charge of managing a team of 150 traders based in London, Paris, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

In 2005, Henri co-founds with Olivier Leymarie and Alain Lechevallier Syquant Capital.

Henri Jeantet is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris.

Olivier Leymarie
Chief Executive Officer - Portfolio Manager

Olivier has a long standing trading and risk management experience. As from the mid 90’s he has been involved with equity derivatives and equity derivatives trading, notably by setting up developing and managing the Credit Agricole/Indosuez Equity Derivatives business line until 2004.

Prior to his experience in equity derivatives, Olivier Leymarie spent two years as management consultant at Ernst&Young. In 1990 he joined Paris based brokerage firm Cheuvreux de Virieu (acquired by Indosuez in 1992 and merged into the Credit Agricole group in 1997). As from 1996 he was appointed Head of European Equity derivatives and was appointed Global Head of Equity Derivatives in 2000. In 2004, following the merger of Credit Agricole and Credit Lyonnais, Olivier Leymarie became Deputy Head of Equity Derivatives in CALYON, a subsidiary of Credit Agricole S.A. specialising in corporate and investment banking. At that time, he was in charge of 250 people based in 5 different locations; London, Paris, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong. In 2005 Olivier Leymarie co-founds with Henri Jeantet Syquant Capital.

Olivier Leymarie is a former member of the board of Credit Agricole Indosuez Cheuvreux, of Credit Agricole Indosuez Derivatives Products (CAIDP); and of the supervisory Board of Equity Alternative Asset Management (EQUALT), the alternative asset management subsidiary of Credit Agricole Indosuez.

In 2005, Olivier co-founds with Henri Jeantet and Alain Lechevallier Syquant Capital.

Olivier Leymarie holds an engineering degree (1987) from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon.

Xavier Morin
Co-Chief Investment Officer - Portfolio Manager

Xavier has 31 years of proprietary trading experience in Equity and Equity Derivatives trading.

He started his career in 1992 at CCF as a financial analyst and thereafter joined equity derivatives trading desk as a trader. In 1996 he joined Credit Agricole Indosuez as a proprietary trader within the equity derivatives department reporting to Henri Jeantet. He was appointed Deputy Head of the Proprietary trading desk in 2000 and following the departure of Henri Jeantet in 2004 he becomes Global Head of Equity Proprietary Trading within Calyon’s (CA-CIB) Equity Derivatives department. He remains in charge of all proprietary equity trading activities during 7 years (2004 – 2011). The team was then composed of 15 traders located in Paris, Tokyo and New-York.

Xavier joined Syquant Capital investment team in January 2013.

Xavier Morin holds an engineering degree from Ecole Centrale de Paris (1991).

Philippe Saudreau
Head of Credit

Philippe has 29 years experience in corporate and convertible bond trading.

He began his career in 1994 at Banque Indosuez in the currency trading team, before creating the corporate bonds asset swap desk. In 2000, he joined SG Securities to create the desk responsible for convertible bond “stripping”. Between 2002 and 2004 (initially in London and then in Paris) he joined Crédit Lyonnais (and thereafter post-merger Crédit Agricole Indosuez Cheuvreux) where he was responsible for the European convertible bond market. From 2004 to 2018, he joins Exane derivatives to take over the responsibility of the market making for the convertible bonds. As from 2014, he also took responsibility for Credit Trading.

In 2018, Philippe joined the Syquant Capital investment team.

Philippe Saudreau graduated from the Ecole des Mines de Paris (1991). He also graduated (Post graduate Master – DESS 203) from Paris Dauphine University (1992).

Franck Dumazel
Analyst Trader Senior

Franck has 26 years of proprietary trading experience on Equity and Equity Derivatives.

He joins Credit Agricole Indosuez in 2000 as a proprietary trader within the Equity Derivatives department. In 2004 he becomes head of the European Index Arbitrage desk within the proprietary trading desk of the Equity Derivatives department (reporting to Xavier Morin), of which he remains in charge until his departure of the group in 2012. From 2008 to 2009 he also sets up the market making activity of the trackers of Credit Agricole.

Franck joined Syquant Capital investment team in January 2013.

Franck Dumazel graduated from ESCP Europe (Paris based business school).

Geoffroy Larrecq
Analyst Trader Senior

In 2010, after a first enriching experience in civil engineering as project manager for a large French building company, he decides to give a financial orientation to his career and completes an additional Master degree in Banking & Finance at La Sorbonne University (Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne), with a major in finance and financial markets.

Geoffroy joined Syquant Capital in May 2011 as junior portfolio manager, primarily focusing on Merger Arbitrage and Corporate Event strategies.

Geoffroy graduated from Ecole Speciale des Travaux Publics (ESTP, Paris) and from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, Boston).

Gaël Thibaudet
Analyst Trader Senior

Gael started in carrier in 2012 with a first experience in real estate asset management at Amundi. Then, in 2013, Gael joined the structuring alternative solutions team at BNP Paribas.

Gael joined Syquant Capital investment team in January 2014.

Gael Thibaudet graduated from the National School for Statistics and Information Analysis (ENSAI, Rennes 2012) and holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Techniques from the Ecole Superieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC, Paris 2013).

Grégoire Monguillon
Analyst Trader Senior

After a first experience at HSBC as Assistant Trader in Equity derivatives, Gregoire joined the institutional sales team at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management. He subsequently worked 1 year at HSBC on FX Sales, covering corporate clients.

Gregoire joined Syquant Capital investment team in October 2014.

Gregoire Monguillon graduated from Paris Dauphine University with a Master in Investment Banking and Financial Markets (2014).

Thomas Bouton
Analyst Trader Senior

Thomas Bouton has 24 years’ professional experience, out of which 8 in the corporate finance and investment industry.

He starts his career at France Telecom as a consultant in the Telecom-Media sector. In 2004, he joins Capgemini, in an identical position, and assists also private equity funds. In 2010,  he is promoted in Capgemini’s holding as senior manager within the M&A department of the firm. In 2014, he leaves for Bpifrance to become Investment Director in the Mid & Large Cap team, where he is focused primarily on investments in the Technology and Automobile sectors.

Thomas joined Syquant Capital team in February 2018.

Thomas Bouton graduated from the Ecole Supérieure d’Electricité (1999) and holds an MSc from the Imperial College of London.

Arthur Fonck
Analyst Trader Senior

Arthur has 12 years of working experience in capital markets. Arthur started his career in 2011 within the Equity Derivatives team at Société Générale before joining Rabobank London in a Trading position. In 2013, he joined Morgan Stanley Investment Management where he gained portfolio management experience while managing discretionary mandates. In 2014, he joined La Française AM where he was Equity Fund Manager, responsible for actively managing mutual funds with a conviction-based selection approach based on in-depth fundamental analysis and valuation to pick companies.

Arthur joined Syquant Capital investment team in June 2018.

Arthur graduated from the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC, Paris 2012) with a Master’s Degree in Financial Techniques.

Pierre Duquenne-Liétar
Analyst Trader Senior

Pierre has 10 years of experience in corporate and convertible bonds trading.  From 2013 to 2018, he worked at Exane Derivatives as market maker in credit, focusing mainly on convertible bonds. In 2019, he joined J.P.Morgan in London. He was Vice President in convertible bonds flow trading.

Pierre joined Syquant Capital investment team in June 2020.

Pierre Duquenne-Liétar graduated from Telecom ParisTech (2013) and holds a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from Imperial College (London – 2013).

Grégory Meyappen
Analyst Trader Senior

Gregory has 16 years experience in capital markets. From 2007 to 2012, he worked for Credit Agricole CIB as an index arbitrage trader. Gregory joined Laffitte Capital Management in 2012 as fund manager.

Gregory joined Syquant Capital investment team in September 2015.

Gregory Meyappen graduated from Ecole Centrale de Marseille (2006) and from l’Ecole Superieur de Commerce de Paris with a Master in Finance (2007).

Guillaume Delorme
Analyst Trader Senior

Guillaume has 19 years of experience in the investment industry. He started his career in 2004 in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch working on M&A transactions. In 2006, he moved to Oddo BHF Asset Management as an equity portfolio manager where he was in charge of several investment strategies on European mid and large-cap companies, with a highly fundamental approach.

Guillaume joined Syquant Capital investment team in September 2023.

Guillaume Delorme graduated from the école des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC Paris, 2005) and is a CFA charterholder.

Luc-Henri Duval
Analyst Trader

Following a first experience at BNP Paribas in the equity derivatives Trading, Risk & Strategy team, Luc-Henri transitioned to the equity derivatives structuring desk at HSBC in 2019.

Luc-Henri joined the Syquant Capital investment team in January 2022.

Luc-Henri Duval graduated from the Master 203 Financial Markets from Paris Dauphine University (2021).

Alexis Matheron
Analyst Trader

After a first experience in cross-asset Structured Products sales and marketing at Société Générale CIB in 2021, Alexis joined Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Equity Division as part of the Equity Structured Derivatives sales team.

In July 2023 Alexis joined the Syquant Capital investment team.

 Alexis graduated from the Master 203 Financial Markets at Université Paris Dauphine (2022).

Nicolas Nordin
Analyst Trader Senior

Nicolas Nordin has 29 years of professional experience including 17 in trading equities and equity derivatives.

He began his career in 1995 at BNP in Tokyo before taking responsibility for Index Arbitrage activities on MIB and Eurostoxx in 1998 at Gestnord-Banca Sella in Milan.

Nicolas joined Crédit Agricole in Tokyo in 2006 and in 2009 became Asia Head of the Equity Derivatives proprietary arbitrage activity, of which he remained in charge until his departure from the group in 2012.

He then began a 12-year entrepreneurial career in financial information and artificial intelligence.

Nicolas joined the Syquant Capital investment team in January 2024.

Nicolas graduated from the Paris I – Sorbonne University (BSc in Applied Mathematics) and from Néoma Business School

Investor Relations

Carl Dunning Gribble
Head of Investor Relations

In charge of Investor Relations at Syquant Capital, Carl has over 36 years experience in sales and marketing in asset management and capital market products.

Prior to this role (2004 to 2008), Carl was Head of Sales, Marketing and Client Servicing for Europe, Middle East and Asia at CAAM AI (the dedicated alternative asset management In 2009 he joins CAAM AI’s investment committee as Chief Investment Manager.

During his 15 years with the Crédit Agricole Group, Carl has occupied various positions in the Capital Markets division marketing fixed income and equity products to institutional clients. Before joining CAAM AI, Carl was responsible for marketing and sales of “structured equity issues” with various units within Calyon S.A. / Cheuvreux, an affiliate of Crédit Agricole.

Prior to joining the Crédit Agricole Group, he worked for Merrill Lynch and Salomon Brothers in the United Kingdom, West-Deutsche Landesbank in Germany and Kredietbank in Luxembourg.

Carl joined Syquant Capital in July 2009 as Head of Investor Relations.

Mr. Dunning-Gribble holds Bachelor of Science in Economics (Hons.) from London University (Imperial College) and subsequently attended the Master of Business Administration program from Boston University.

Lindren Thanacoody
International coverage

Lindren Thanacoody has 18 years experience in trading.

From 2002 to 2007, within the Prime Brokerage unit of Morgan Stanley: initially in charge of the Middle and Back Office for Securities Lending to French clients. In 2004 he takes responsibility for client coverage (sales trader) for French, Swiss and German Funds and Hedge Funds. During this period, he acquires a real expertise on corporate actions management As from 2007, Lindren joins the Global Capital Market unit (Morgan Stanley Investment Bank) as sales trader in charge of corporate clients and sovereign funds to advise and implement strategic shareholdings and corporate operations.

Lindren joined Syquant Capital investment team in November 2009.

Lindren Thanacoody graduated from the University of Paris 1(Panthéon Sorbonne – DEA Monnaie-Banque-Finance) and has a Master in Economics (Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, ENS Ulm & EHESS).

Julien Vanlerberghe
French coverage

Julien has 20 years experience in capital markets. He started his career in 2003 at Credit Agricole CIB as multi asset sales to retail investors, corporates and fund managers.

Julien Vanlerberghe joined Syquant Capital in June 2014 within the Investor Relations team.

Julien Vanlerberghe graduated from Clermont-Ferrand University (Masters Financials Markets in 2003, Wealth Management in 2013) and is a CFA charterholder.

Bastien Perrin
French coverage

Bastien started his career in 2014 at Societe Generale Private Banking. Based in Lyon, Bastien took charge of a HNW client portfolio and actively participated in developing the wealth management activities within Société Générale. In 2017, he joined BPCE Group as financial advisor and later wealth manager for a portfolio of clients of  high and ultra high net worth customers.

In September 2021, Bastien joined Syquant Capital as part of the Investor Relations team.

Bastien Perrin graduated from Kedge Business School with a Master in Wealth and Asset Management in 2016.

Antoine Petit
Head of Client Servicing

Antoine started his career in 2014 at Fox Head (sporting goods) within the client servicing team in Barcelona.
During this first experience, he handled different tasks as sales follow up and marketing support for the distributors of the brand.

Antoine joined Syquant Capital in May 2016 in charge of the client servicing.

Antoine Petit graduated from IPAG Business School with a Master in Financial Markets (Paris 2016).

Margaux Rivat
Client Servicing

Margaux started her career at Group BPCE within the teams of corporate account managers and private bankers. These experiences enabled her to develop her knowledge of wealth management and business development.

Margaux joined Syquant Capital and the Investor Relations team in June 2022 within the client servicing team, after completing her training in financial markets.

Margaux Rivat graduated from EDHEC Business School with a Master in International Finance (2022).

 

Internal control - Compliance

Bruno Ducamp
CCO

Bruno Ducamp has 39 years’ experience in the financial industry, on different functions, covering  front office, post market functions, organization, control and compliance.

Bruno began his career in 1985 as a forex trader at Bank Indosuez and then at Bankers Trust Company. From 1992 onwards he moved to asset management where he served as fund manager. After a first experience in an independent CTA, he joined BNP Paribas Asset Management and managed a fund of funds until 2006. He then moved to organizational, control and compliance functions within a hedge fund based in Geneva as COO / Compliance Officer and then in Paris with Natixis and Cholet Dupont as an Internal controller and Compliance Officer.

Bruno joined Syquant Capital in May 2017.

Bruno Ducamp is a graduate of Paris IX Dauphine University (Master of Management, DESS 203 Financial Markets), as well as an MBA from Bocconi University in Milan.

Jérémy Saus
Deputy Chief Compliance Officer

Jérémy Saus has 9 years of professional experiences in compliance and internal control in the financial industry through experiences in banking, asset management, brokerage and distribution.

Jérémy began his career in 2014 as a Compliance Officer on a work-study programme at HSBC France and subsequently joined CA INDOSUEZ GESTION as Compliance Officer, Internal Controller and Risk Controller until January 2018. From February 2018, he joined AUREL-BGC as Compliance Officer and Internal Controller until July 2021, when he joined the holding company of the PRIMONIAL group as Senior compliance officer.

Jérémy joined Syquant Capital in January 2023 as Deputy Head of Chief Compliance Officer.

Jérémy Saus is graduated from the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Master 2 Professionnel Banque – Finance: Conformité, contrôle des risques bancaires & sécurité financière), as well as from the Cycle expert métiers conformité of the CFPB (now ES Banque).

Finance and operations

Laurent Boscherel
Chief Financial Officer

Laurent Boscherel has more than 32 years experience in Equity Derivatives trading, first at Credit Agricole group and then within the HSBC group.

From 1992 to 2005, within the Equity Derivatives Business Line of Credit Agricole Indosuez, he participated actively in the development of the Equity Derivatives Client driven business. In 1999 he became head of the “Equity Vanilla Derivatives” trading, leading a team of traders and structurers in Europe, Asia and the US. Since 2000, aside from his responsibilities on the “Vanilla” activity, he created the Exotic Equity derivatives trading department to complete the panel of products proposed to the group’s clients.

When he left the Credit Agricole group in 2005, he was managing director, global Head of the Exotic Equity Derivatives trading, leading a team of 20 traders and structurers around the world. He joined HSBC in 2006 with the same position and was specifically in charge of the harmonisation of pricing and valuation methodologies around the different entities of the group.

Laurent joined Syquant Capital in March 2007 as Chief Financial Officer.

Laurent Boscherel graduated from the “Ecole Centrale Paris” in 1992 with a major in Economics.

Jeanne Carlier
Risk Officer

Jeanne started her carrier in 2014 at La Banque Postale within the information system department. During this first enriching experience she contributed to design and to implement an integrated Front to back office platform.

Jeanne joined Syquant Capital risk management team in September 2015.

Jeanne graduated from Ecole Française d’Electronique et d’Informatique and from Audencia Business School (2016).

Nikolai Doinikov
Risk Officer

Nikolai started his career in 2016 as a Financial Analyst at AbbVie, where he was in charge of financial reporting preparation for EMEA region. In 2019, he moved to CWT as a Senior Financial Analyst, where he was responsible for the optimisation of the financial reporting, and where he participated in multiple investment and financing projects.

Nikolai joined Syquant Capital risk management team in March 2021.

Nikolai graduated from Saint Petersburg State University of Economics (2014) and from IGR-IAE de Rennes (2015) with a Master degree in Finance. Nikolai is a CFA Charterholder and a CAIA Charterholder. He also passed the Leve I of the FRM (Financial Risk Manager) certification.

Alexandre Chevtchenko
Head of Operations

Alexandre started in 2011 at the Corporate Structured Finance team of UniCredit’s Moscow office where he performed credit analysis and risk monitoring of large corporate entities. From 2013 to 2015 he works on derivatives pricing at CACEIS Bank Luxembourg.

Alexandre joined Syquant Capital in the Operation department in March 2016.

Alexandre Chevtchenko graduated from the Erasmus School of Economics with a Master in Economics & Finance in 2013.

Christine Chillet
Finances and Operations

Christine has 7 years experience in Equity Derivatives, first at CIC group, and then within HSBC group.
From 1986 to 1988, she started her career as Derivatives sale within Tuffier Ravier Py. From 1988 to 1993 she was responsible of the CAC40 department at CIC group and then James Capel (HSBC). From 1996 to 2012, she participated actively in various associations as member of the Board of Director and coordinator of the Parent-Teacher Association and Managing Director of VoxFemina. Christine was also Recruitment Consultant for Banking and Finance within Nicholas Angell.

In July 2013, Christine joins Syquant Capital to take care of the operational tasks. She works with Laurent Boscherel on the various Back Office issues.

Christine Chillet graduated from Université Lyon III (1986) with a major in Wealth management.

Benoit Wagenheim
Finances and Operations

Benoit started in 2013 at Caceis Bank Luxembourg which is a funds administrator, in the NAV valorization and validation department with an expertise in derivatives products. In 2017 he joined AXA Investment Managers where he was in charge of the reconciliation with the counterparties of the valuation OTC derivatives products held in the managed funds and following implementation of processes for EMIR regulation.

Benoit joined Syquant Capital in the Operation department in April 2018.

Benoit Wagenheim graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Gestion et de Finance ESGF with a Master in International Finance in 2013.

Alexiane Drillien
Finances and Operations

Alexiane joined Syquant Capital’s Finance and Operations team in September 2019 as part of a work-study program to obtain a Master’s degree in Finance.

Alexiane graduated  from EBS Paris with a Master in Finance in 2021.

Sébastien Roger
Administrative and Financial Manager

Sébastien has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and audit, built in various tier one accounting companies. These experiences allowed him to develop a specific expertise on the Financial and Asset Management sector.

Sébastien joined Syquant Capital’s Financial Department in October 2018.

Sébastien has a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and Financial studies (ENS CACHAN).  

Vincent Patillet
ESG & Fund Structuring

Vincent joined our firm in 2021 to participate in developing Syquant Capital’s approach to responsible investment. He is currently the Chairman of the Syquant Capital’s ESG Committee and serves as the main contact for matters relating to responsible investment.

He completed his studies in London and at the University of Cambridge, and as a legal graduate, is also involved in the structuring of our funds.

Information technology

Alain Lechevallier
CTO

Alain has a strong financial and technical background especially in the field of equity derivatives modelling. He also has a long experience in programming and in designing financial applications dedicated to trading and risk management.

From 1995 to 2005, he worked for the Credit Agricole/Indosuez Equity Derivatives business line. Alain was in charge of the Trading Solutions Group. He and his team notably designed and coordinated the development of the worldwide Trading and Risk Management Platform. Prior to joining the Credit Agricole group, Alain started his career as a project manager at EFFIX Software Company (Reuter group) specializing in Front to Back office STP systems.

In 2005, Alain co-founds with Henri Jeantet and Olivier Leymarie Syquant Capital.

Alain Lechevallier holds an engineering degree (1991) from the Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieur en Informatique et Génie des Télécommunications.

Matthias Régnier
System Engineer

Matthias started at Cheuvreux SA in 2007 as information technology systems architect, and was involved in setting up and upgrading international branches of the group. He joined Louis Capital Markets in 2010 to work on IT infrastructure, and became IT manager of the Paris branch in 2012.

Matthias joined Syquant Capital in september 2016, in charge of information technology operations, maintenance, networks and telephony.

Matthias graduated from Ecole pour l’Informatique et les nouvelles Technologies –EPITECH- (2007).

Pascal Guen
IT Development Manager

Pascal has 29 years of experience in market finance, and has developed his expertise in equity derivatives, numerical analysis and data sciences. He has acquired extensive knowledge of both classical and numerical analysis oriented programming languages.

Pascal started his career in 1994 at Exane as a quantitative analyst, and joined the derivatives research team where he developed his expertise in the analysis and backtesting of derivatives, options and convertible strategies. In 2000, he became head of the IT teams in charge of developing all the information systems supporting Exane’s derivatives sales and structuring activities. In 2006, he joined Exane Derivatives Quant team where he actively participated in the development of derivatives and structured products trading platform.

Pascal joined SYQUANT Capital in 2022.
